Monster Storm Clobbers Utah County – Sweeps Across Utah Lake

Monsoonal Storms bring Utah County to a stand still.


At first glance, this looks like any other black bottomed, lightning infested, sail shredding, shrieking wind, pounding wave producing Utah Lake Storm. Au Contraire Pierre. Look closely at the tip of West Mountain as it dips into the lake. Looks like the beginings of a water spout. This did not mature, but did let us know this was to be no ordinary storm coming at us.


Lon and Matt seem to be enjoying sailing away from the beast.


Until a strong puff puts our rail in the water….and then some! Whoa Nelly.


Had a succesful MOB retrieval before making it into the safety (?) of the outer harbor. The sky just keeps getting blacker.


Back at the dock, we watch this incredible storm unfold. It was mesmerizing to watch these low clouds roll across the marina.
