7 ways to turn off a potential buyer

Does it feel like your home is taking so long to sell when everyone else’s sells in days? Are you worried you’re doing something wrong? Well – you just may be.

There are definite things that can turn off potential buyers. Some of these we’ve spoken about before but as the Fall market approaches and you’re getting your home ready to sell – keep  these in mind.

1. Bad smells

Whether it’s from cooking, pets (especially cats,) smoke or anything else offensive – you need to air the place out. If I see a house on the market that isn’t selling but looks good in photos – I will go and take a look and chances are, it smells bad.

You don’t want to over-fragrance the place either but keep windows open, stop cooking with strong odour foods, and whatever you do – DON’T SMOKE in the house! Or outside…
