Brookmere Laebon HomeAfter a very wet and stormy spring and summer, the sun is now out and our Beacon Hill Family is getting new sod. What a difference it makes, so nice, bright and fresh.

But now that you have your new sod, how should you care for it?

Like a baby your new sod requires special care. The first two weeks are the most critical in establishing new sod.

Watering:

It is important that the sod be saturated as soon as it is laid, and kept moist for the first few days after that. During the second week you can reduce the watering to every other day.

Once the grass has “taken”, a weekly watering may be adequate.

How Much Water:

During the summer, your lawn needs about 1 inch of water a week, this includes rain. You should water evenly and slowly so that the water has time to penetrate the soil without…
